Spotted Smooching...

So on my way home from work, just now, were a couple of randy pigeons smooching on the roof of Mr Clutch on the Winchep Estate. Hehe!
What can I say. I don't blame them, it's a beautiful afternoon and it must be a good view of the city from there.
If I could climb up there without getting into trouble and aquire Mr Spoon back from Austria, then you know what, I'd be doing the very same.
But thinking about climbing things... I think this Summer I should climb things. Mrs Fox & I mentioned it last year when we were rolling down hills.
And talking of the lovely lady herself, she's on her way over coz we're malkng soup! Spinach, Pear & Roquefort... See next post!

Sunday Dinner. 25th March.

It's Sunday again!
I love Sunday Dinners. Really missed them when I was away!
Today is LD's turn but just cooking for us two as Mr Spoon and E were off having fun. Well they missed out on the 44 feed. Om nom nom: Potato Dauphinoise with loads of garlic, peas, broad beans & broccoli in pesto and steamed carrots. THEN chocolate cake in the ding box with clotted cream!
Ha!
But truth be told we did miss them. For one the level of conversation was well above board (it's clearly incited by Mr Spoon).

So... That bread.

As promised I was going to post about that bread.
I was inspired by my baking the other night and went and bought some 'Country Grain' bread flour.
So the plan was to prep the bread and leave to proove while I went for a jog. The evening however panned out a little different. Jogged first and then knakered I went to work kneading the dough. Urgh.
Think I'll learn from that experience. Also that I should proove it somewhere warmer than I normally do as damn it takes ages to proove. And damn it I'm impatient. So I went to bed at silly o'clock on a school night... again!
And one of the best things to do when baking bread is to eat some still warm. But when it comes out of the oven at some o'clock I can't enjoy it's lovelyness. Sad face!
But anyhoo, following the recipe on the back of the packet, which I'll have to write down and post. The bread turned OK, with only one proove (?). Will need to work on it. Mr Spoon is the Bread King and knows his bread shit. But I'm enjoying trying.

Tonight, A Lazy but Healthy Dinner

I'm baking bread, for the second time this week (this will be the next post)! And I've just come back from a 5km jog. Eurgh.
So, on the menu tonight...
Left Overs!!! Love.
Bean burger and roll from Mr Spoon, defrosted and reheated. With a stuff left in my fridge: spinach, carrot, tomato and orange pepper salad. Nom.
And. I have some Greek yogurt in the fridge from when the 'rents were here at the weekend. And there's some honey about the place. Not quite as healthly as previous course, but we're keeping in the spirit of left overs.
Whoop. Oh and straight from the pot. Decedent.

Morrisons have done it!

It's official. The people in the 'Morrisons cheese concocting department' are geniuses/genei. They have produced, wait for it...
...Hot Cross Bun Wensleydale!!!!
OMG indeed.
